KORE Partners with EE to Expand Reach of Global M2M Services
KORE Global Connect Enhances Footprint in Europe, Africa and Middle East and Adds Voice Support to Meet Worldwide M2M Connectivity Demands
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- KORE, the world’s largest wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, today announced that it has partnered with EE, the UK’s most advanced digital communications company, to extend the reach of KORE Global Connect™ services into Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The relationship provides KORE customers with an expanded addressable market for their M2M applications without requiring any new relationships, contracts or integration with existing infrastructures.
The relationship with EE provides the growing ranks of KORE Global Connect customers with multiple connectivity options for their M2M applications, including KORE’s satellite services, and access to EE’s 2G, 3G and market-leading 4G LTE network in the United Kingdom. Customers will also now have access to voice services within KORE Global Connect to support emerging M2M applications, such as those in the medical and dispatch industries. The additional KORE Global Connect services will be available imminently in all markets served by KORE.
Marc Overton, vice president of Wholesale and M2M, EE, said “Partnering with EE will provide KORE’s U.S.-based customers with a one-stop-shop for international connectivity through the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network, and our alliances across Europe. We are focused on providing international business with a solution that allows their customers to stay seamlessly connected across borders without multiple contracts or any fuss.”
EE brings the benefit of its network alliance with Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and TeliaSonera to its relationship with KORE, ensuring that KORE Global Connect customers will continue to experience reliable and seamless cellular M2M connectivity across borders. The EE network and its partner networks will also be fully integrated into the KORE PRiSMPro™ management platform and the Company’s redundant data center operations, allowing its customers to have full control of M2M devices and network usage.
“EE understands the importance of business-driven M2M applications and we look forward to offering joint M2M programs in a number of markets,” said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO, KORE. “M2M applications are being extended to every corner of the globe and the partnership with EE complements our existing carrier relationships, enabling KORE to provide more comprehensive global connectivity services, including low-use voice options, across our M2M network. KORE will continue to partner with best-of-breed carriers to expand the footprint of KORE Global Connect and help drive M2M growth in new markets worldwide.”
